Survival/Horror update (Aquatika)

Posted by TheMillz - June 25th, 2010

'Aye,

Got a nice little visual demo to show how the underwater survival horror game "Aquatika" is coming along, you can check it out HERE

Found a system of saving the backgrounds as bitmaps instead of vectors which allows for adding alot of stuff in there without causing too much lag. The game is set in the sunken super ship project called the "Freedom Ship". Damn thing's so big it has it's own mall, monorail system and even an AIRPORT with runway on top.

In MY VERSION, the ship meets a mysterious demise, and the player happens across it at the seafloor. Upon investigation, you get trapped inside and need to find a way out, making it past deadly sealife, reanimated corpses of the passengers and crew, ghost, and other mysterious enemies.

Anyway, so far so good.

YAY!

I love the water effect.

Thanks guys, I think this might be my best game yet :) Atleast visually

backgrounds are awesome dude

very nice style

Thanks bro, I'm so friggn' stoked about this project. A bit worried 'cause my coder hasn't popped up in like 5 days now, hoping he don't drop out.

It looks beautiful. If you put as much effort into the story and gameplay as you did the art, this will be a great game.
